about

There is a strong metaphor here. The worm is myself sometimes feeling trapped in a mind, trying to view the world and other perspectives through eye lids or skin.

How can I tell you what I see? Will you ever believe me? How can I make you listen? Being blind, I feel as if I've lost visual credibility on certain aspects in life. There's always been another voice in my head speaking to me in third person giving me hope but also putting me down.

The chorus is simply stated that I want you to try on my shoes, live my life, and you'll see the difference.

lyrics

"Worm"

Blind mind never giving up.
Lights shining through the skin.
The dark never letting up.

How can they ever tell it to you straight,
when you just think that this is fake?
How can I make them listen?

Dig in for me. Stuff your head.
You'll see the difference.

Go like I always tell you to,
and leave them all behind.

Sunlight burns you to the bone. Ivory all gone.
If you live to crawl another day, you'll just be alone.

Is it maybe in afterlife?
Is it maybe in paradise?

Your shoulder, the paradox.
The irony resides.
The shoulder breaks itself inside out.
Let that sink while I walk away.
