My heaven is in the stars, literally. I believe we are all born from star dust and eventually become star dust all over again. It should be common sense that we're not made by invisible people. I can break free from any conversation that says otherwise.
If you "water me well" in the sun, I understand things better for myself. Basically saying to let me grow as a human and have free will. The night, or death, will come and only time will tell what's going to happen.
Just understand that I view things differently than religious folks. I love all people, but I don't need spiritual guidance from you to live by. Let me live on my galactic lake in the end. It's where I find peace.
lyrics
"Galactic Lake"
You testify your spoken words,
to help you bring me to my knees. But no...
There's something else your offering,
the signs begin to capture me.
I feel the weight coming down.
Right by the lake in afterlife,
it's all I live for.
You stuck it to me with a knife,
and dragged me offshore.
I break free every time we talk,
Their ideas that blind you.
Stuck in a world that's giving up.
You dragged me once more.
We're miles away from being the same.
(We're stuck in our same old ways.)
We won't forget the way we came.
(We'll always be a step behind.)
And you said run with me,
well forget about it.
I said, "Can't you see?"
You said, "Don't talk about it."
You always duck and hide.
Well forget about it.
Swim in my lake in the sky.
Water me well. I grow well in the sunlight.
Welcome the night. Only time will tell.
A fake savior fed into my lullaby.
Choked beneath some alibi,
Accepted as an afterlife.
